STACK UP THEIR SKILLS!

When: Mondays 2:00- 3:00 pm (for kids ages 5-8 years)

 3:00-4:00 pm (for kids ages 9-11 years)

Led by: Clarice Torrey, MS, OTR/L

 

  • Empower students to turn what they can imagine into reality.

  • Construct objects from basic shapes, which introduces students to basic math and geometrical concepts.

  • Develop empathy by understanding how items children create can have a positive impact on users of the items.

  • Create assistive devices, such as pencil grips, page holders, zipper pulls, smart phone holder that can increase a child’s independence

  • Investigate design concepts by creating functionally useful items that benefit people in everyday life.

  • Learn about mechanics, motion, and energy by creating devices such as rubber-band powered race cars.

  • Learn to create educational tools, such as matching tiles to improve letter recognition, to help children self-study.

 

In order to ensure quality service and appropriate attention to the needs of each child, classes will have a maximum of 4 children.
